Pointer placement stations are capable of creating communication in the cluster that allows the pointer to be set in various positions. In addition, further tests can be performed to check LED functionality among others, using the vision system.
We take into account the small details that make a big difference to the fit and finish of the clusters. For example, the height of the pointer and its positioning must be correct to ensure the amount of light emitted around it is sufficient for readability.
Gauge pointer placement is made precise using LVDTs or laser sensors to micron resolution and so, too, is the height. Along with the height, the pointer insertion force of the system is monitored using load cells of a high accuracy with vision systems used to measure the correct angle of the pointers.
