Within the welding process, there are generally four distinct processes undertaken, namely:
- Application of force
- Melting of the absorptive material
- Melting of the transmissive layer
- Material cooling
By following a number of fundamental design criteria for achieving a strong chemical bond between the transmissive and absorptive components to be joined, ALPHR Technology is able to create a fixturing solution to engage with the welding system laser source. This results in excellent weld-to-weld uniformity and minimal scrap rates due to the repeatability of the welding process.
